As a sonic narrative describing a near-death car crash, Art Imperial praises the world's greatest forces (love and death) by developing a sound that flirts with dark pulsing analog synths, staggering 707 rhythms and crooning, R&B styled vocals. Lyrically, Art Imperial draws from a diverse set of artistic influences from Bukowski to Magritte to produce an existentialist sound piece that evokes introspection, melancholy and yearning: a reflection on a rainy night, a one night stand, a car crash, a fist fight, an old love letter, a bout of insomnia; this assemblage of stories are translated into deep vibrations sent out into the dark folds of a city night, waiting for a lonely body to intimately receive it.
